in only three seconds. They are very stealthy and
fast animals. Most of these animals are found in Type: Mammal
southwestern Africa. There are only about Average Life Span in Wild: 10-12 yrs
7,000 to 10,000 of these organisms left in the Size: 3.5-4.5 ft,
wild. Cheetahs only drink water every 3 to 4 days, Tail Size: 25.5-31.5 in

Cheetahs hunt their prey during the daylight. Size next to 6 ft man:
Their spotted coats blend them in with the
savanna's long, and dry grass. Cheetah's
also have keen eyesight, which allow
them to scan the area for prey, undetected.
Since cheetahs are extremely fast animals,
Their battles with prey last usually under one minute.
Although, this costs them a lot of energy. If they
are successful and they capture the prey, they drag it
off into a shady area to feast. They do this
because they want to protect their prey from other
scavengers or animals that might want to
eat it. These animals include, lions, vultures, and
hyenas.
Females typically only have three to four cubs.
The cubs live with their mothers for about
half a year to two years. During this time they
spend their days learning from their mothers
and practicing techniques and strategies. Male
cheetahs usually live alone or in groups. If they live in
groups they often are in groups with their
littermates, or siblings.
